Day 34 - Ushuaia, Argentina and cruising Glacier Alley to get there

 Thursday were sailed to the city of Ushuaia which is the southern most CITY in the world.  It is situated on the Tierra del  Fuego  (Island of Fire) archipelago. It is a resort town and a major jumping off stop on the way to Antarctica. The were at least 4 other cruise ships in today.. In the morning, on the way to the city we passed through Glacier Ally where was saw 2 impressive glazier.

Our excursion today was "Drive to Terra del Fuego National Park which is west of Ushuaia

It was raining on and off as we sailed through Glacier Alley

We have 3 guest speakers talking all about Antarctica for the next few days

Sailing on to Ushuaia which we got to about 2 PM

Started wwith a drive through town










Roads in the park are not paved

Our first stop was a little bay off the Beagle channel










Then into the forest




Then to a small lake on the Lapatai River

They have a nice boardwalk trail here

Then back to the ship. We were only here for 6 hours.






The first part of the suunset was partially blocked by the Preincess ship





Then we backed up so I got a better view
