Day 35 - At Sea - Drake Passage

Friday, we were originally scheduled to sail to Cape Horn, the most southerly point in South America and circumnavigate it before starting sailing across the Drake Passage to Antarctica. But because of meteorological reports showing another approaching storm, the Captain decided to start across the Drake passage as soon as possible  after leaving Ushuaia because there was a gap of better weather..

Once we got into the open ocean we had rougher seas overnight and into the mid-morning then it settle down to smooth seas.

Water splashing out of the outdoor pool early in the morning.

I did not see the sun ant the normal sunrise time
However, half an hour later after I had moved inside, the sun came out. This mwas through a window with raindrops that my phone picked up. w

The captain made a video that shows on the TV in our cabins showing the gap between storms that we sailed through relatively smoothly
