Day 95 - Malaga, Spain

Saturday, our port-of-call was Malaga, Spain.  It is on the Mediterranean south-east coast of Spain. The area was first settled by the Phoenicians around 770 BC. Around 18BC the Romans ruled it until the  mid 5th century. Then the Byzantines took control and formed the province of Spania in 552. . Muslims then took control until  late 1400s when it became Castilian/

Our excursion today was "Malaga Sights and the Picasso Museum"

The large 414 ft yacht "Octopus"  built for Microsoft co-owner Paul Allen. It cost $200 million to build and has a submarine and Remote Operated Vehicle inside it.. It was used to retrieve the bell of HMS Hood (sunk by the Bismarck). In 2018 after Paul Allen died, it sold to a Swedish billionaire Roger Samuelsson

We passed the Rock of Gibraltar again. This photo is not as good as the one I took the night before on the way into the Mediterranean because the back lighting was not as strong.
