Sunday we were in Kristiansand which is on the south-west coast of Norway. The area has a population of about 130,000. In 1892 there was a large fire that destroyed much of the city which was made mostly of wood. There is a part of he Old Town called Posebyen that survived. All the replacement buildings are now made of concreate. The old wooden ones must be kept in there original form.
Our excursion today was "A Walk Through Historical Kristiansand".

I had to duck walking through here
Up to 17 solders lived in this room. By law, each house had to be able to provide a place to live for up tp 7 soliers but some had more.
Next door is now an open area.
There is a bakery but it wasn't open today.
