Day 103 - Dover, England

Our substitute port for the cancelled Le Havre was Dover in southeast England.

Our excursion was to Canterbury and Canterbury Cathedral

White Cliffs of Dover  in the per-sunrise light before there was enough light to see the white.

Dover harbor

Many ferries in and out of here every day. I heard over 50 per day.

Canterbury Castle on the hilltop.

Now we could see the white of the cliffs.

Sunrise.

Excursion buses lined up.

We saw Dover Castle a little closer on our 3/4 hour drive to Canterbury.

Magpies are larger here. This is a Black-billef Magpie.

Canterbury Cathedral.

The Cloister

In a square just outside the Cathedral.

Another church

On the drive back to the ship.

From back on the ship. It was clearer now

A ferry going across to France

Sunset approaches.
Some jet contrails from planes going in and out of London.
