Our stop today was for Porto, Portugal. The port is at Leixoes which is 5 1/2 miles away. Porto dates back to the 2nd century BC when it was an outpost of the Roman Empire. The weather was dreary with on and off rain.
Our excursion was "Fado and Tapas"
Fado is a deeply melancholic and nostalgic Portuguese musical genre, often called "blues of Lisbon", characterized by its expressive vocal delivery and traditional instruments like the Portugues guitar.
Tapas are small plates of appetizers or snacks
