Day 110 - Honningsvag Norway / Scenic cruising North Cape

 Wednesday  our stop was at Honningsvag on the north coast of Norway. It is the northern most city/town in mainland Norway. It was declared a city in 1996 even with its small population of  2246.

I did an excursion called North Cape Hall and Cliffs Transfer.

The bow was open for scenic cruising - it was chilly  at about 39 F

Once we were allowed to go ashore, Kathy and I went for a walk to check out some of the stores

After lunch, I took and excursion out to the North Cape. Kathy stayed and did more shopping. The drive was about 45 minutes.

The visitor center has a  restaurant, gift shop, 2 theaters and  a small chapel

They planned a Scenic Cruising event as we pass the North Cape again on the way to our next stop in Iceland. They had hot chocolate with you choice of alcoholic additive,   cheese fondue and gluvien (mulled wine) as we pass the Cape 9:30 - 10:30 PM. It was well attended  even though it was about 40 F.
