Thursday was the first of 2 days sailing from Norway to Iceland. We began the day in a 24 hours of sun condition but by the end of day we were far enough south to be outside the 24 hours of sun area for this date. By the end of day the sun did set (about 11:40 PM) and rise (about 1:20 AM Friday). Heavy clouds prevented us from seeing the sun overnight.

| A flock of Northern Fulmars (AKA Fulmer Petrels) flying beside us |
The sea was relatively calm during the day
| Glimpses of blue sky |
| We saw the sun for a little while about 9:30 PM |
| Then it clouded over fully again by sunset time of 11:40 PM |
