Day 121 - Paamiut ( Frederikshad), Greenland

 

Sunday, our strop was at thetoen of Paamiut. The primary industry here is fishing. The town has a population of about 1500.

This is our first time here. Our excursion today was "Paamuit of Foot".

We started seeing icebergs early in the Mormino

Getting om and off the ship was not easy.  The ocean swell kept  the tender bouncing up an down. The crew member qwas trying to staedy the tender at the shkip tender dock.

Late morning their was a problem with the tender dock in town. It gor hung up on the rocks when the tide went out and it was tilting the floating dock

A guuy in a boat tried to fix it





The ahd to bring in a crane to raise the ramp to take the weight off the floating dock so it could be pulled out


The boat pulled it aff the rocks


They then adjusted the anchor chain

Fixed

Waiting tenders could now unload /load

Kathey was waiting for the first tender back to the ship
