Thursday, our stop was at the town of Armacao de Buzios, Brazil, It is often referred to as just Buzios. The area was originally a whaleing site. This is a resort town set on a peninsula. It is 115 mile, 173 MKM east of Rio de Janeiro. It started as a small fishing village but became popular when French actress Brigitte Bardot visited. There are 23 beaches here. There are many hotels and B&Bs. Our excursion today was "Best of Buzios". We saw a number of beaches and had views from various viewpoints.
