Day 93 - Cadiz, Spain

 

Sunday, we were in Cadiz, Spain. We have been he re several times before.  Cadiz has a strong maratime tradition with a history of shipbuilding and trade. The old city hs defensive walls used to protect from pirates. It is the oldest continuously inhabited city in Western Europe.  It was founded about 1100 BC by the Phoenicians.

Our excursion was "Easy Andalucia".  Andalucia is the region of south-west Portugal.

The Cadiz Cathedral which was built between 1722 and 1838 dominates the skyline.
