Wednesday, we were in Dakar, Senagal. Senagal was colonized by the French as was known as French West Africa until it became independent in 1960. Dekar is infamous for being a key slave trading post. The island at the mouth of the harbor - Goree Island was a major transshipment point from the 15th to 19th centuries. The Dakar metropolitan area has a population of 4 million.
Our excursion was "Bandia Wildlife Park".
