Sunday, our stop was at another one of the Cape Verde islands. This one is Santiago and conatains the capital Praia of the country. We did not do any excursion here and decided to just take the shuttle buses provided to the center of the city. As it was Palm Sunday, there was very little open. We observed the Palm Sunday service at the main catholic Church of Our Lady of Grace. The service overflowed onto the streets and park around the church. We also observed the changing of the guard at the Presidential Palce which was also nearby.
