Sunday, our port of call was Abidjan, Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire).
We had no excursions booked for this port and decided to just stay on the ship. Since it was a Sunday, almost everything on shore was closed. There is not a big tourism infrastructure here. They offered a shuttle to a location that had a craft market but not much toi see an the way there. There was no infrastructure at the pier we used. It was brand new and had only been in use a couple of week. No buildings had been built yet.
The views accords the waterway we sailed in through were interesting. Fisting villages with a variety of small fishing boats werevery photogenic. There were also numerous sea birds flying around and diving for fish.
It was a hot day (89 F) with very high humidity (feel like 113 F)
