Saturday was the first of four days at sea as we sail to Mozambique in south-east Africa
The sunrise started well
but we did not see the sun clearly until later in the day
I am again showing again the map of tropical cyclone Freddy that the captain made available to us.
We are taking the route shown with the red ship. The yellow ship shows our original anticipated route. We are passing through the outer edge of the storm
Display I fund on-line of the wave patterns in this area.
We had a 14-15 foot swell we were sailing into
Occasionally, the bow came out of the water some then there was a bang when it hit the water again
occasionally when we pitched forward, part of the propellers cam out of the water an there was a bang
the crew at one of the desert/ice cream stations in the Lido Market
No sunset to be seen tonight and I was at dinner with Kathy at the Italian restaurant - Canaletto. No pictures.
