Thursday, we visited the island of Mauritius. It is a volcanic island with a length of 38 miles and width of 28 miles. The island was originally colonized by the Portuguese in the early 1500s. Then the French came then the Britsh took control in 1815 under terms on the Treaty of Paris.
The main exports are sugar, clothing, animal and Vegetable oils the thr majority goes to the European Union countries.
