Today, we made our first stop in French Polynesia. We stopped at the island of Nuku Hiva which is in the Marquesas group of islands. The capital is Taiohue which is in a bay on the south coast of the island. It as a volcanic island and it appears the bay was the caldera. The island has a population of just under 3000 people. We increased it by over 50% for the day. It has a size of 131 sq. miles.
In the evening after we got back on the ship they had a Glamping (Glamorous Camping). The simulated a campground around the main pool

ReplyDeleteDay 16 came fast. I love the pictures..keep posting them. I'm sure French Polynesian was a beautiful place. Back at home our street has been quiet as always. No suspicious activity. I will continue to keep watch. Please take care and safe travels.
