Day 28 - At Sea - Sailing towards New Zealand

Tuesday, Jan 31 we were at sea as we sailed toward Auckland, New Zealand. The seas were rougher that we have been experiencing.  We hear that northern New Zealand was been inundated by rain since Friday. On that day Auckland had more rain in 15 hours that they normally get in the whole summer. They are getting more heavy rain each day and are under a state of emergency. There is major flooding happening. At this point we are still going to Auckland but some of the excursions have been cancelled (including ours which was going to the Auckland Zoo).  We don't know if we will be allowed off the ship but they need to stop for provisions and fuel. We will see what happens. Our stop in Tauranga on Friday will also be affected because they are also getting allot of rain and having flooding.
