We spent 2 days at sea as we sailed southwest from Nuku Hiva to Tahiti. It was relatively smooth with some whitecaps at times. I did not see very much wildlife - just a few distant birds and a few flying fish.
Thursday pictures:
The moon was visible in the early morning
sun is close to appearing
Late afternoon on the promenade deck
The scrub the floors in the Lido pool area every few weeks
having coffee as we wait for the sun to rise
We attended a complementary wine tasting a noon
the sun getting ready to set in the west
a bit of pink clouds behind us
from the forward deck I use to view sunsets, I can seen into the sides of the navigation bridge.
I could see one of their display panels

Glen, fortunate to be able to arrange tour of bridge on the Amsterdam. Surprised to see no big wheel with 20 spokes! Nominal navigation and control by GPS. Only manual control in those “pods“ on the side to move the ship sideways the last few meters to the dock. Cool.
