Wednesday, our stop was at the small villiage of Djupivogur which is in the south-east part of Iceland. It has a population of about 460 people, It is mainly a fishing village located on the Hamarsfjordur. Our excursion today was "Djupivogur and Nature Walk".

this pyramid shaped mountains is called Bulandstindur
the white flowers are call Icelandic cottongrass
some of the houses have interesting yard decorations
back to the town center
a shop with some interesting dis[plays
the National Geographic Explorer was also in port
a display of granite eggs around a bay, They represent the eggs of the many birds that can be found in the area

I stopped for a local beer
the second oldest building in town houses a restaurant
