Day 47 - day 2 of 3 days sailing towards Perth.

The Southern Cross (officially Crux). There is a 4th star on the right side of the diamond shapeds  constellation but it is much dimmer than the other 3 stars. The 2 stars to the left are Hadar and Alpha Centauri A.  They are not part of the constellation but are always in this position relative to the cross and are brighter. I use them a pointer stars to the top of the Southern Cross.
