Day 43 - Adelaide, Australia (Day 1)

Thursday we arrived in Adelaide, Australia about 2 PM. We were  here overnight. The cruise terminal is in Port Adelaide which is joust north of the city of Adelaide.  Adelaide  was founded in 1836 as the capital of of the the only freely-settle British province of Australia, Most of the other cities were founded as penal colonies, Adelaide was designed by Col Willian Light. He designed the city center and chose it's location near the River Torrens. Light's design set the city center in a grid  layout interspaces by wide boulevards and large public squares and entirely surrounded by parkland.

Our excursion today was "Highlights of Adelaide".
