Day 121 - Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal

 

First colors of sunrise

Pilot boat arriving.




No sunrise to be seen today - too much cloud and fog.



A small luxury cruise ship  (Seadream II) was docked next to us.

Starting out on our excursion - ":A Taste of the Azopres"

Climbing to the rim of the valcano caldera - there was heavy fog all morning.




We stopped at the town of  Sete Cidades is ar the bottom of the 5 mile wide caldera

Then we stopped at a local hotel for wine and cheese

I then went out for a walk near the ship. The mosaics in the sidewalks and lanes is wonderful.
