Saturday we visited the town of Picton which is on the north-east coast of the south island of New Zealand. It is a resort/tourist town and the main port on the south island side for traffic from the north. It is a tourist/resort town and a major ferry port. It is very friendly. Our tour was called "Queen Charlotte Sound Walk at Mistletoe Bay", Our ship sailed from Wellington at 11 PM Friday night and stopped in Cook Straight just outside Marlborough Sounds. Queen Charlotte Sound is the east most of the sounds in the Marlborough Sounds. We sailed in starting about 5:00 AM. We left Picton at 2 PM. We have 2 sea days before we reach Sydney, Australia on Monday morning.
