Days 7 - 8 - At Sea - Sailing towards Peru
It was a quiet couple of days as we cruised south towards Peru. On sea days, I will try posting pictures of the ship.
Day 6 - Fuerte Amador, Panama
After transiting the Panama Canal yesterday, we overnighted off Fuerte Amador island near Panama City. We woke to see many ships (including 2 other smaller cruise ships) around us and a city with many tall modern buildings. The excursion we went on took us through the modern city and then to the old colonial section were we walked along some of the narrow streets. We saw a number of churches including the main cathedral were Pope Francis held a mass on Saturday. He was in Panama last week to celebrate World Youth Day.
